This program provides discounted healthcare services through participating Colorado hospitals and clinics. To qualify for HIBI, you must be 18 years old or older, have an income at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL), be legally present in the United States, and be a legal resident of Colorado.
You cannot be eligible for Health First Colorado (Colorado's Medicaid program) or Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+). Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) is a public health insurance program for children 18 and younger and pregnant women who earn too much to qualify for Health First Colorado (Colorado's Medicaid program), but who can't afford private health insurance. Behavioral health services, including mental health care and substance use disorders, are available to members of Health First Colorado. The Colorado Homeless Care Program (CICP) provides discounted health care services to low-income individuals and families. Pediatric personal care services help members of Health First Colorado (Colorado's Medicaid program) meet their physical, maintenance, and support needs. Eligible people now have Health First Colorado coverage during their pregnancy and for one year after the pregnancy ends. If you qualify for financial assistance, HIBI will send you monthly payments for all or part of the cost of your commercial health insurance premiums.
In some cases, HIBI will also reimburse you for deductibles, coinsurance, and co-payments.
